The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) was established to encourage and promote quality patient care in America’s medical transportation system.
With 15,276 Ambulance services in the United States and 715 ambulance services in California*, Mission Ambulance is proud to have achieved CAAS accreditation. Mission is the tenth organization in California to carry this distinction and accreditation, and California’s only non-911 provider to achieve this level of excellence.
An independent group of EMS professionals from across the nation including a board certified emergency physician conducted a comprehensive on-site review of Mission. Upon completion of the review the commission recognized Mission for its excellence as defined by the Commission’s high standards.
CAAS Accreditation signifies that your service has met the “gold standard” determined by the ambulance industry to be essential in a modern emergency medical services provider. These standards often exceed those established by state or local regulation. The CAAS standards are designed to help increase operational efficiency and decrease risk and liability across the entire spectrum of the organization.
Mission is proud of its employee’s and the hard work and dedication that goes into delivering outstanding patient care with courtesy, compassion and commitment.
CAAS is sponsored by:
AMERICAN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION
AMERICAN COLLEGE OF EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE CHIEFS
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EMS PHYSICIANS
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EMTs
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE EMS DIRECTORS
- With liaison representation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
